Bare Limbs is an emotional landscape of all the facets of being a mother, wife, and woman. Everything is expected of us with only the support and community we create for ourselves. We must find our voice in order to find our capacity to ask for help, acknowledge and share in the challenges and our intense vulnerabilities. We create life, we step through a rite of passage through trauma. We sustain life, nurture, work, pour out, and give entirely of ourselves. We question our hopes, dreams, power, ability, strength, capacity, and wisdom, and yet we persist because we must. We forget to extend the grace, kindness, and empathy that we give to everyone else onto ourselves and sometimes lose sight of our true selves. This is for all women, to help remind you that you are not alone, that you are amazing in all the abilities you have been given, and most importantly to bring light and affirmation to all your struggles. You are seen and deeply loved.
